Wireless
internet is now the popular way to transmit and receive information
on the go with smart phones, laptop computers, and tablet devices. In
the past decade the wireless data industry went from earning $222
million in revenue in 2000 to earning $41.5 billion in 2009. In that
same period the number of U.S. wireless subscriber connections grew
from 109.5 million to 285.65 million.
To
put that in perspective, in the year 2000 only 38 percent of the U.S.
population were participating in wireless communication. But by the
end of the decade in 2009, 91 percent of U.S. citizens were mobile,
