INTRODUCTION: Oxford Dictionary gives a set of meanings for the word “Race”: ‘each of the major divisions of human kind, having  distinct physical characteristics’; ‘an ethnic group’; ‘a group descended from a common ancestor’; ‘a group of people or things with a common feature’; ‘ a distinct population within a species:  a subspecies’.
