I have seen all types and styles of sales training and techniques.
But, the truth is, there are only two types of trainings that can
ever be given to a sales team to improve closing ratios (the number
of presentations made vs. the number of sales made). The first is
product (or service) training and the second is personal development
training.
The first type of training is relatively straight forward and easy
to implement. You can have an intricate product that has thousands of
moving parts or you could provide a complex service involving
finance, real estate, taxation, or legal matters but no matter the
product or service, it is ...

“The primary cause of unhappiness is
never the situation, but your thoughts about it.” — Eckhart Tolle
This quote is so true but it brings up an
interesting point. If thoughts are really in control of our
happiness, what are they and how do they control us? It has been said
so many times, and in so many ways, that your thoughts are things
that have a profound impact on your life.
This isn’t just a philosophical idea.
Thoughts themselves are measurable. Brain activity and testing have
revealed that thoughts have a very specific frequency that can be
measured with the right equipment. Every time you have a thought, a
pulse ...

My son was diagnosed with ADHD at 4 years old and was eligible for a wonderful kindergarten program for children with special needs. The teacher was amazing and with her help I was able to manage my son’s behavior without having to medicate him. The kindergarten was in a different school than the elementary school he’d be attending for first through sixth grade; the school his older sister had been attending for the past three years. At the end of the kindergarten year I was abruptly informed by the Director of Special Needs that the first graders with special needs ...

You’ve probably
heard that you shouldn’t put all of your eggs in one basket. This
is especially true when it comes to income.
Do you have all of
your eggs in one basket? To answer this, you have to understand the
difference between “different baskets” and just putting “more
eggs in the same basket.” A basket is a type of vehicle you use to
accomplish something.
When we are talking
about income baskets, we’re talking about things like jobs,
businesses, investments, etc. Each of these is a different basket. So
if you were to have a job and invest in stocks, you have eggs in
different baskets. However, getting a second ...

The personal development industry is an
important one and yet, many people don’t recognize the need for it
in their life. Maybe it is the perception they have about personal
development or maybe they just are not aware of the possibilities for
themselves. These are both true for some people. It seems though, the
biggest misunderstanding people have is the affect personal
development has on our life… on every aspect of our life. Luckily,
as you read further, you will never have this misunderstanding again.
From the beginning of your life,
development has been key to your growth and accomplishments. When you
were a newborn, brain ...

Positive cash flow investment properties
are those properties that offer a greater income than the expenses required in
maintaining the property. In other
words, it means that the rent that you attain from the property should cover
your loan payment to the bank and other expenses involved in the maintenance
associated with the house. Of course, if you pay an extensive down payment with
your own cash, in one sense the property may be a positive cash flow, but it
may not be the case, if you consider the opportunity cost associated with the
cash spent. Maybe you could have obtained more if the money was invested elsewhere.
There ...
